NOTD Gloss 'n Sparkle Custom Polish

Hello peeps,

I had these custom polishes made by Angela from Gloss 'n Sparkle. I requested a multi sized/shaped black glitter in a clear base and the same with white glitter.

I saw on Instagram, a mani by @teebee_x that i thought would look awesome with the polishes used, so I recreated it.

I used O.P.I. 'Can't Find My Czechbook' as the base colour.

Go and buy some polishes from Gloss 'n Sparkle and go and follow teebee_x on Instagram!!!

Love Thy Polish 'How Do You Spell FBI?'

Hello peeps,

This is the fifth and final polish from the June, Toy Story themed, 'What's In-die Box'. It is by Love Thy Polish and it's called 'How Do You Spell FBI?'.

In the pic it is 2 coats alone. The formula is great and the glitters look so cool. The reason my hand is posed weird is because I had an injury on that finger the day I swatched it.

I am not a 'green' person so I took it off after this swatch.

You can find links to 'What's In-die Box' in my other blog posts.

Alanna Renee 'Lenny' - June 'What's In-die Box'

Hello peeps,

Today I have to show you the fourth polish from the June 'What's In-die Box'. It is by Alanna Renee and it's called 'Lenny' which is obviously based on the binoculars toy from Toy Story.

'Lenny' is a white crelly base with  matte red, orange and blue hex glitter and matte black circles. The circles totally remind me of the character's eyes. The way the character is translated into polish, is so perfect in my opinion.

When I opened the 'What's In-die Box' I disliked this polish as it just wasn't 'me' but I can safely say I am pleasently surprised by how much I love it on the nail!

The photo is 3 coats with Seche Vite. It could easily be worn over a white polish and look amazing.

Water Spotting!!!

Hello peeps,

Today I tried a technique I have attempted before, but failed at, called water spotting, which I hoped to suceed at.

Now, I have tried a different technique called water marballing before and I can safely say I totally SUCK at doing that. Lol.

When I have tried water spotting previously, I used a old perfume like some tutorials have suggested, but it just would not work for me. Then, my girl, Strawbrie (Brie) from Instagram, said she used isopropyl alcohol, so I thought I would try that instead of letting water spotting defeat me. Let me say, IT WAS A SUCESS!!!

I used a white base with MUD 'Electrify It' and an unnamed blue BeInspired polish from Kmart as the water spotting, topped with one coat of Seche Vite. See the results below!

NOTD: Tie Dye Rainbow Nails

Hello peeps,

Today I decided to do some nail art as I have been a bit slack in the nail art department lately.

This mani was actually the product of 2 failed manis. First, I tried a white base kinda thing with rainbow colours and I hated it. Then I tried an ikat pattern and hated it. So I decided to combine the 2 and this is what i came up with.

I started with a white base and with a small striping brush I did small strokes to create the shape I wanted with my first colour, which was red. Then i progressed through the colours of the rainbow, still doing small strokes, following the last colour and also kinda blending the colours where they meet. I, lastly, topped with a coat of Seche Vite.

Let me know what you think of it. Do you love it? Do you hate it?

Glam Polish 'Ahhhh... Aliens!!!'

Hello peeps,

The third polish that I have to share with you from the June 'What's In-Die Box' is by Glam Polish and it's called 'Ahhhh... Aliens!!!'

The polish went on the nail smoothly and, to my surprise, even the glitters went down quite smoothly.'Ahhhh... Aliens!!!' has tiny white, neon green and purple specks, small white and purple hex medium lime green hex, and large neon green hex in a light blue crelly base.

I used 2 coats in the pics, with no top coat.

Rachel from Glam Polish is the creator of 'What's In-die Box' and, in my opinion, is a seriously talented indie polish maker. I can safely say that Glam Polish has moved right up there, to tie in first place in my all time favourite indie polish brands, along with Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

Peita's Polish 'Hello, I'm Trixie'

Hello peeps,

For some strange reason, Blogger decided to delete my last review of the first polish I tried from the Toy Story themed, 'What's In-die Box'.

It was by Peita's Polish and it was called, 'Hello, I'm Trixie'

NOTD: Lilypad Lacquer 'Stretch For The Stars'

Hello peeps,

Today I have the second polish from the Toy Story themed June 'What's In-die Box'. It is from Lilypad Lacquer and it's called 'Stretch For The Stars'.

The polish had a smooth application and was opaque in 2 coats. I did not apply a top coat.

'Stretch For The Stars' had a blue/lavender colour and an amazeballs linear holo. The polish even shows its holo beautifully under lights, so there is no need to search for sun. It is such a gorgeous polish!

This is my first polish from Lilypad Lacquer and I will be buying more, for sure!

Glam Polish 'Ticks and Tocks, Sir'

Hello peeps,

The first polish I wanted to use from my recent haul was Glam Polish's 'Ticks and Tocks, Sir' from the Suess Collex.

At first glance, I was surprised to find it contained a whopping 14ml of polish, which is the biggest of any indies I have purchased before.

The polish is an almost neon purple crelly base with a glitter assortment. They are, tiny pink specs, small white squares, medium peach coloured squares, medium pink squares, large pink squares and white rectangles. I have not seen any other indies with rectangle glitters before either. The glitters seem to be matte glitters. It has a lot of glitter in it too.

I got full opacity with 2 coats but I have seen other reviews do 3 coats, so maybe my coats were thick.

I topped it with Essence Quick Dry Top Coat and Seche Vite.

The colour of the polish and glitters are sublime, the consistency of the polish is amazing and I definately recommend it to any polish lovers!!!

NOTD: Nail Art with Klean Color and Sally Hansen

Hello peeps,

I haven't been doing any nail art in a while. I really haven't had time. This long weekend, I decided to have a crack at some art for my nubbins.

Here I have done a fishtail braid with Klean Colors 'Neon Aqua' and 'Neon Amethyst' and Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Extreme Wear 'Celeb City'. I topped it with my, now, go to top coat combination of Essence Quick Dry Top Coat and Seche Vite.

Fish tail manis are so easy to do for eye catching nail art and I highly recommend anybody who hasn't done it, to give it a go. The colour combination possibilities are endless.

NOTD Mari Moon

Hello peeps,

Today I have done a mani with Mari Moon 'Artsy'. It is a multi-chrome polish and looks amazeballs in the bottle. I received it in a grab bag I purchased a few weeks ago. In the pics i have done 2 coats alone.

'Artsy' went onto the nail smoothly and was nearly opaque in 2 coats. I would like to see what it looks like over black and other colours.

A big downside was that it took FOREVER to dry. I am not sure if anybody else has this problem or its just me. It has been many hours since I painted my nails and they are still denting. I think I will put Seche Vite over it to recitify the problem but I like to see how a polish fares on its own.

The pic is showing the blue/purple to purple/pink/orange shift without the flash and showing the deep blue-ness with the flash.

'Artsy' is such a beautiful polish on the eyes. You can buy it from Llarowe.

P.S. Please don't mind my pinky ouchie.

NOTD - Wicked Polish 'Fairy Blood Splatter'

Hey peeps,

So, I am still sick but I decided to make my sorry butt do some polishing.

As you may remember from a previous post, I was all revved up over a Harlow & Co. restock of Wicked Polish. Well, I scored 'Drunk In Public', 'Hung Over The Rainbow' and 'Fairy Blood Splatter'. I have done a mani with the latter today.

Now, I don't know if its because I am sick or just plain OVER white bases, but I decided to go against the grain and swatch it over a blue. An unnamed BeIndulged blue from Kmart to be exact. I did 2 coats of the blue, and did one 'dabbed' coat of the 'Fairy Blood Splatter'. I then topped it with Strawbrie's inovation, Essence Quick Dry Top Coat, then one coat of Seche Vite.

'Fairy Blood Splatter' is a claer base jammed full of different sizes of pink glitter, some larger purple glitter and some gorgeous shimmer. It required a bit of dabbing to apply nicely as I mentioned. One downside is, it HAD to be turned upside down ALOT to get a decent assortment of glitter on the brush.

I purposly took a blurry pic so you could see the little shimmers.

Uh-oh

I should be blogging but I am sick so here are some manis i have done recently and also my nekkid nails.
